The Poly on the neck is different then the production lines it's not sticky by anyt means. The frets are perfectly dressed and immaculate.

Overall very happy with my Black Beauty. Cheers

\nI guess if I could change anything would be 69 pickup in the neck a fat 60 in the middle and the Texas Special in the bridge. That setup is usually called the Mischief maker set. I would also make the neck Lacquer since the body is but I love this neck profile. Im only missing the Fat 60 in the middle so not too shabby. The body does have small lacquer cracking and the beefy U feels is my favorite Neck shape. To each its own. Its sounds like strat should. I got a relatively light one that always helps. It came set up slightly floating which Ill have flattened out eventually. One thing I can say about the custom shops is they stay in tune out of the box if you get a good one and this one does just that. Overall very happy with my Black Beauty. Its sounds like a proper strat if that makes sense. I have another custom shop with fat 60s hand-wounds and its great as well but at times it sounds so robust and airy - almost Les Paul tones with some hum for good measure. They all sound different in there in own right and the taste is up to the beholder. The relic job is ok. I wish it had a bit more lacquer cracking and the neck is Poly. I think they put a Poly Finish on the neck to be closer to the real 68 but the body being Nitro is kind of strange. Maybe thats why I like it. Maybe the two different finishes add a different flavor or tone not sure. Its different. The Poly on the neck is different then the production lines its not sticky by anyt means. The frets are perfectly dressed and immaculate.
