\n3) Many Preamps Have Great and Unique qualities that make them legendary, and I have tried many, Neve, API, Lesser Known Brands, and let me tell you they all approach the problem of amplifying signal slightly different. The knobs are soo simple, intuitive and direct, fixed frequency points, fixed compression ratio w\/ variable threshold, clean gain & phantom power, perfectly placed high pass filter to clean a variety of sources without losing fundamental frequency that will affect upper harmonics. All of these things have been carefully planned with this gear and if you thought your equipment sounded good before, with very very minimal tweaking it will sound phenomenally better
