Matter of fact it sparkles so much I dont advise you to show it to your gf she will rip it off your hands. Having said that, I find that if you are playing inside your room with just the light coming out from the window in a not so bright setting, the guitar starts to look dark turquoise (blue-green) and if your room is dark and you look at it from the side it starts to look dark magenta (purple-pink) just like the Aurora Burst color so yeah dont let the pictures deceive you, the paint color is amazing!
