\nThen I checked out the GTX line from Fender. Wow. Im floored with how good this sounds. And it doesnt need to be cranked all the way up, this beauty sounds great at lower volumes too. Being able to switch between a classic Fender Twin Reverb, to a Princeton, a Blues Jr. or any of the other 180+ included tones is just amazing.

\nAnd the Fender Tone app is very easy to use and looks great. You can change settings on the amp right from the app in live time. The app syncs up via Bluetooth to the amp, no wires needed. You can download new tones in the Download section by featured artists like Gary Clark Jr. or by other users so you can find the right sound for whatever song youre working on.

\nWith all of the features you could definitely get in over your head but at its core this a very user friendly modeling amp. I think because of ease of use this would be great for a beginning guitarist as well. And intermediate guitarists will have a great time with all of the options, even being able to make your own sound by picking a cabinet, pedals, and different effects.

\nIn terms of tone, this amplifier sounds beautiful. I play through headphones 95% of the time (I live in an NYC apartment, and I respect my neighbors) and this amplifier still delivers all the tone and warmth I would expect. Not to mention, you get a Celestion speaker (for those times when I do get to crank it up) at the price point.

\nThe one major fail, at least in my experience, is the Bluetooth capability. I really enjoy the Fender Tone app and playing around with the different presets\/building my own signal chains. But, for some reason, I cannot get the amp to connect with my phone without deleting and re-installing the Tone app EVERY TIME I WANT TO USE IT. Yes, I have the current firmware and Fender Tone versions.

\nThe Bluetooth\/Tone capability is the main reason I purchased this amp (other than the Celestion), so you can probably see why this is frustrating. That said, I have contacted Fenders gracious, courteous team and we are working toward a solution. \nIn terms of tone, this amplifier sounds beautiful. I play through headphones 95% of the time (I live in an NYC apartment, and I respect my neighbors) and this amplifier still delivers all the tone and warmth I would expect. Not to mention, you get a Celestion speaker (for those times when I do get to crank it up) at the price point.

\nThe one major fail, at least in my experience, is the Bluetooth capability. I really enjoy the Fender Tone app and playing around with the different presets\/building my own signal chains. But, for some reason, I cannot get the amp to connect with my phone without deleting and re-installing the Tone app EVERY TIME I WANT TO USE IT. Yes, I have the current firmware and Fender Tone versions.

I play through headphones 95% of the time (I live in an NYC apartment, and I respect my neighbors) and this amplifier still delivers all the tone and warmth I would expect. \nThe one major fail, at least in my experience, is the Bluetooth capability. I really enjoy the Fender Tone app and playing around with the different presets\/building my own signal chains. But, for some reason, I cannot get the amp to connect with my phone without deleting and re-installing the Tone app EVERY TIME I WANT TO USE IT. Yes, I have the current firmware and Fender Tone versions.

I play through headphones 95% of the time (I live in an NYC apartment, and I respect my neighbors) and this amplifier still delivers all the tone and warmth I would expect. I play through headphones 95% of the time (I live in an NYC apartment, and I respect my neighbors) and this amplifier still delivers all the tone and warmth I would expect. \nThe one major fail, at least in my experience, is the Bluetooth capability. I really enjoy the Fender Tone app and playing around with the different presets\/building my own signal chains. Yes, I have the current firmware and Fender Tone versions.

Being able to switch between a classic Fender Twin Reverb, to a Princeton, a Blues Jr. or any of the other 180+ included tones is just amazing.

\nIn terms of tone, this amplifier sounds beautiful. I play through headphones 95% of the time (I live in an NYC apartment, and I respect my neighbors) and this amplifier still delivers all the tone and warmth I would expect. Not to mention, you get a Celestion speaker (for those times when I do get to crank it up) at the price point.

\nThe one major fail, at least in my experience, is the Bluetooth capability. I really enjoy the Fender Tone app and playing around with the different presets\/building my own signal chains. But, for some reason, I cannot get the amp to connect with my phone without deleting and re-installing the Tone app EVERY TIME I WANT TO USE IT. Yes, I have the current firmware and Fender Tone versions.
