These basses aren't cheap but if you know you're gonna be playing bass for a long time this is an excellent option. My biggest gripes are the locking input jack is pretty difficult to release and the EQ bypass switch seems to just function as a kill-switch. not sure if that's faulty wiring or not.. but It doesn't matter how the tone knob is adjusted the switch just makes the bass super quiet almost inaudible so I just ignore that feature.
还有Music Man的一些Squiers和Sterling。
\nTHIS THING IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. And it rips. Incredible worksmanship, from body finish to fretwork. The neck is BEAUTIFUL. Flamed birdseye maple is all you need. Changing strings is now effectively twice as fast for me (YMMV). The weight and balance is superb- I can now use my guitar straps again. The 3-band onboard preamp with a mid-frequency sweep is INCREDIBLY VERSATILE.
\nThe headless system is pretty flawless. Easy to adjust action, intonation, and tuning it up is much easier than you would think. You just gotta keep your hex tools handy. This thing is so easy to setup with low action, too.
\n
\nThere are only 2 cons to this instrument:
\n-the Bartolini BH2 pickups sound bland and meh. Too bassy and mellow for my liking. Im planning to swap mine out with some Nordstrands. Easy fix.
\n
\n-the fretboard abalone fret markers are hard to see. They are obstructed by the E string from the players POV. It also doesnt help that the \"Luminlay\" (not actually Luminlay brand) side dots arent as good as actual Luminlay. Theyre pretty dark and dont charge enough UV light.

And I'm not going to walk around with a flashlight. The other pain in the neck is that locking system when you plug in. I have so much trouble trying to unplug my guitar. Great concept but almost not practical. The inlay situation alone makes me want to send it back. I'm not sure just how to deal with that right now at all. But I do love the guitar I love to feel and Bartholini pickups gives that nice fat sound That's needed in my genre of music .. My people at Sweetwater Sounds Have always taken great care of me, and it was no different this time.Great Bass / Awesome sound!!!!
