I plan to do some tracking for drums as well with the mic running into the Colourbox, which Im excited to see how that does, which I have no doubt will afford me some versatile possibilities in achieving different sounds.

At first I thought I was over-analyzing them but when I swapped the order of the two pedals the first one in series (which had originally been the second in line) became slightly darker/thicker and the second one (which had originally been the first in line) became slightly brighter. Good to know in certain situations, especially if you want to experiment with stacking them. I'm guessing it's an impedance thing that is interacting with the input/output buffers? But once I figured out these quirks I've been quite happy with them and am glad I bought them. If you buy more than one of these units with the intent of using them as a matched set you may want to spend a few minutes calibrating the knob placements. Past that v2's seem to have more personality and less noise than the Colour Box v1. The v2 version is a nice update. Cool niche pedal.
